In observance of Rosh Hashanah this past Friday/Saturday, I've decided to completely change my approach... and my blog. From now on, I will be writing in THIS WEBSITE. I will still champion the search for an affordable yet stylish wardrobe and toss a little sprinkle of gastronomy and film-buffery here and there. Hope you guys enjoy!

Post-Partum Beauty Blues

It's been seven (long) months since I've given birth to my baby boy and there hasn't been a dull moment for me ever since! ...Except for the numerous post-partum dilemmas I wasn't aware I would be facing. From C-section scars to the sudden hair loss (and not from the right places), I was overwhelmed with the new and not-so-improved Me!

The Cat's Meow

For the past several years, the sunglass trend subjected many of us to the Jackie O look of hiding our faces with bug-eyed monoliths made of plastic. We paid our homage to one of the classiest First Ladies in recent history, but it's time to move on to the next phase of eyewear, an updated and contemporary take on the 1950s cat eye sunglasses. Seen here are two Hollywood "celebrities," Kourtney Kardashian and Nicole Richie, sporting the already growing fashion fad sweeping the runways, department stores, and our grateful faces. The catty frames are reminiscent of the decade that brought us Elvis, chrome diners and James Dean, but without the inconvenience of a black-and-white-only TV.
